A message from the owner of King's Candy -

I recently returned from traveling in India and the Maldives, and witnessing the conditions many animals endure was heart-breaking. I saw numerous stray and abandoned dogs, including a mother and her puppies, all without homes. My trip was cut short; I had planned to go to Sri Lanka with my friend Jasmine to support the Animal Wellness Trust in their charitable efforts. Although I couldn't make it, I’m doing what I can to support them from back in England. I truly admire Jasmine for her selfless dedication to volunteering; her passion and positive outlook on life are incredibly inspiring. I hope this encourages anyone reading to embrace that spirit of generosity and contribute to the well-being of others this holiday season!

At Animal Wellness Trust Sri Lanka (AWTSL), we're on a mission to be a beacon of hope for animals in crisis. AWTSL is more than a non-profit organization; we are the guardians of abandoned and sick street dogs and cats in Sri Lanka. Within our meticulously planned budget, we feed homeless street dogs, conduct humane population control sterilization programs, provide vaccinations against diseases, and offer medical treatment for sick animals.

Our dream is to execute our mission seamlessly within an approved annual budget. To achieve this vision, we rely on the generosity of individuals like you. Your support enables us to routinely run fundraising campaigns, expanding our sterilization programs island-wide and providing essential medical treatments for sick dogs and cats.

Currently, AWTSL operates two state-of-the-art shelters for abandoned street dogs and cats, with a maximum capacity of approximately 400 animals. However, due to space and budget restrictions, we are eager to extend our reach and impact through your donations. Your support empowers us to increase sterilization programs and offer medical treatments to more animals in need.
